Main ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, diced Boneless is preferred for quicker preparation.
  • 1 handful bacon You can save some grease for added flavor.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning Store brand is recommended for budget-friendliness.
  • 8 oz penne pasta About half a standard pack.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Substitute with half-and-half if preferred.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Mozzarella is great, but cheddar also works.
  • to taste none salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • optional none green onions for garnish A great finishing touch if desired.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Boil a big pot of salted water and add the penne pasta. Cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
Frying the Bacon
  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Save some of the grease for cooking the chicken if desired.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. Add the diced chicken to the skillet with bacon grease or olive oil. Cook for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
Combining Everything
  1. Stir in the cream and ranch seasoning with the cooked chicken, then add the cooked pasta and bacon.
Cheesing it Up
  1. Sprinkle the shredded cheese into the mixture and stir until melted and well combined.
